If your customs invoice contains a mistake
If you believe that an amount in the customs invoice is incorrect, you can request that Swedish Customs amend its decision regarding customs duty and other taxes and fees.
There are different time frames for changing a decision. Contact Swedish Customs for information about the time frame for your matter.
Always pay
Remember that you are required to pay your customs invoice, even if you have requested a change. If your request leads to Swedish Customs changing its decision, you will receive the amount paid with interest.
Also remember that Swedish Customs will not reimburse funds for which you may deduct VAT according to the Swedish Value Added Tax Act. We also do not reimburse any amounts that may be discounted according to the Swedish Settlement Act (1986:468).

Credit post for reimbursements
When Swedish Customs owes you money, it is shown as a credit post on your customs invoice.
When Swedish Customs registers a credit post in your name it is
- Primarily used to pay any debts due to Swedish Customs;
- Secondarily to pay any tax debt to the Swedish Enforcement Agency, and;
- Thirdly to reduce your next customs invoice.
If you do not have a customs invoice, Swedish Customs will pay the credit directly to you.
